If you are new here, Welcome Fresher to RUCC; the Reading Uni Canoe Club. The Canoe Club does a range of types of Canoeing and Kayaking such as
White Water Rivers
Freestyle
Polo
Sprint and Marathon
and also leisurley paddles on the Thames and Canal.
It doesn't matter if you are a complete novice or an pro-boater at the moment, the club caters for all abilities. There is also great socials with lovely people.
Freshers Sports Fayre is on Thursday 7th October we will be there (we will be the people in kayaks talking till the cows come home about kayaking with big smiles on our faces.)
If you are an existing member of the club, please go along too, to try and recruit as many freshers as possible.
The first River session is on Saturday 9th October, and on Wednesday, Saturday and in pool sessions we will coach you to becoming awesomer paddlers. and there will be various kayaking trips going to exotic places such as the Cornwall, Devon, Wales on weekends. During the holidays there are also trips to Scotland and the French Alps.
